We have a great opportunity for a Consumer Insight Analyst to join our friendly customer strategy team for 6 months.

Reporting to the Customer Research and Engagement Lead, you will be analysing and reviewing customer insight and research that will support and shape customer service projects here at Bristol Water.

The Role

As Consumer Insight Analyst you will be monitoring, analysing and reporting on performance data in relation to customer service.

You will also have opportunity to support customer engagement events and customer service meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide customer service data, reports and presentations to company stakeholders within agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
Monitor, analyse and report on performance data relation to customer services KPIs and regulatory measures such as those which form part of the Service Incentive Measure (SIM)
Liaise with Pelican, the operational contact centre and network with regard to customer services performance, customer satisfaction and other related matters
Organise, co-ordinate and support audits and other quality checking activities
Participate in customer experience improvement projects and initiatives within agreed service level agreements (SLA’s)
Prepare and deliver reports and presentations
Support the Customer Research and Engagement Lead in preparing and delivering ongoing customer engagement activities
Support the Customer Strategy team by role modelling customer service and conducting a positive attitude to internal and external customers.
To prepare the administration for key customer service governance activities including the Customer Service Working Group
To administer the Customer Insight Dashboard and ensure that day-to-day customer contact data is readily available to inform decision making.

We need someone who is highly computer literate, has great communication skills and is passionate about customer services and consumer insight strategies.

You will have experience in analysing and collating data and be comfortable using excel. Experience of customer research is beneficial but not essential.

The role:-

This role will initially be for a fixed period of 12 months. The Business Improvement & Innovation team, for which this role will sit, facilitates the improvement of Bristol Water through Continuous Improvement techniques and the promotion and support of innovation. The promotion and support of innovation involves the administration of the innovation framework which concerns how we steer innovation, ensure its effective and how we foster a culture of innovation through action. This covers a range of activities from monitoring and measuring innovation through to external collaboration and staff recognition.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Improvement and Innovation, the main responsibilities of the role will be to:-

Co-ordinate our innovation tracker (data gathering and market scanning) and produce reporting
Research and organise new innovation events
Support the set up and day to day operation of the Bristol Water Business Incubator
Support operation of the internal staff suggestion scheme

The role requires an individual with attention to detail and experience of working in a business environment, often liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with the business in a proactive, collaborative and results-oriented manner. Possessing strong analytical skills, you must also be a very strong communicator with highly organised approach to working.

It is likely that you will have gained previous experience and have knowledge of the following areas:-

The Role

Operating in a flexible matrix style department, you will be working with individuals in different teams across the business to deliver projects within agreed timescales, costs and quality targets.

In order to be successful in this role, you must display effective skills in managing through others, gaining co-operation and influencing where necessary to deliver the projects. Considerable flexibility is required as the workload will vary and you will be expected to liaise with, Operational , Communications, Financial, Procurement and Asset Management teams, external consultants and contractors, as well as our Term Maintenance Contractors to suit the workload and department priorities.

We need someone with high levels of influencing, communication and collaborative skills in working with a wide variety of personnel across all levels of the organisation, with differing requirements. Equally, the ability to effectively gain co-operation and influence where necessary to deliver projects, with an ability to digest and interpret complex information quickly and accurately.

Skills & Knowledge

Programming and management through earned value analysis are required to ensure that allocated projects are monitored and approved within corporate governance procedures.
Monitoring the performance of contractors, consultants and internal teams
Supply quality and cost data to the PMO, Procurement and Finance to ensure projects are delivered within a culture of Continuous Improvement.
Good working knowledge of MS Office, Visio and Project plus other corporate systems relating to the management of projects
Design knowledge for construction of pipelines.
Project Management (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent experience)

Previous Experience

A strong commercial and strategic mind-set; understanding the role of Project Management in delivering corporate goals and managing risk
