Are you ready to lead a dynamic, multi-disciplined team delivering essential water network construction services? Bristol Water is seeking a Network Construction Operations Manager to oversee our in-house teams responsible for repair and maintenance activities, including stop tap replacements, service repairs, and new connections.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll be accountable for operational performance, health & safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across our network construction teams. This is a pivotal leadership role with real impact on customer satisfaction and service delivery
Main Duties
Ensure the health & safety of all employees and contractors under your control.
Manage technical interfaces between Network and internal/external stakeholders.
Lead performance management for dig teams, plumbers, specialists, and support operatives.
Ensure compliance with street works regulations and reduce customer risk.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
Provide daily performance reports and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate on policy and process development across Network teams.
Oversee depot operations and maintain site standards.
Develop and manage material replenishment processes.
Participate in 24/7 operational standby rota.
Build strong relationships with local authorities.
Conduct customer visits to prevent complaint escalation.
Manage specific revenue costs and ensure installation quality.
Act as delegate for the Senior Manager when required.
What We're Looking For
Proven leadership experience in network construction or utilities operations.
Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, and street works regulations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
Experience managing multi-skilled teams in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to participate in standby rota.
