We’re proud to be part of Pennon Group, a leader in the UK water sector, working towards a greener future. Our goals? As well as lowering our carbon footprint, we’re working with partners to plant 300,000 trees, restore peatlands and supporting farmers and landowners to improve water quality and wildlife.

Planning & Scheduling | Bristol Water
Step into a role where you set the pace of delivery across the network.
This is a key leadership role responsible for how work gets planned, prioritised and delivered. You’ll lead the planning team, shape operational programmes and ensure we deliver safely, efficiently and with minimal customer impact.
If you’re ready to step up into a role with broader influence and accountability - this is it.
What you’ll be doing
Leading and developing a team of planners to deliver effective, right-first-time scheduling.
Owning the creation of risk-assessed programmes, particularly where supply interruptions are involved.
Ensuring plans minimise customer disruption and optimise field team productivity.
Working closely with operations, contractors and stakeholders to align and deliver priorities.
Managing planning performance against SLA and regulatory requirements.
Driving improvements in planning processes, systems and ways of working.
Leading planning forums and making decisions that keep work moving.
What we’re looking for
Strong planning or operational experience within the business or wider utilities sector.
Proven ability to lead, organise and deliver through others.
Confident decision-maker who can prioritise, challenge and keep things moving.
Strong stakeholder skills — able to work across teams and influence outcomes.
A practical, solutions-focused mindset with a focus on delivery and performance.
Why step up
Broader leadership accountability and visibility across the business.
Real influence over how work is delivered across the network.
Opportunity to shape processes and drive meaningful improvements.
A clear step into a more senior operational leadership role.
This is a role for someone who wants to take control, drive performance and step up — not just manage what’s already there.
